Also before you ask, I like Super Sentai NOT Power Rangers.
Super Sentai is a show from Japan which they take the action scenes from to make Power Rangers. It has a rich 36 year history and is typically more serious and violent and such. It's good stuff.

I heard of Super Sentai. Why can't they make Power Rangers like them?! Japan gets all the fun!

It's because America thinks children are stupid and won't understand that fiction is fictional. It's sad and pathetic that we can't take our own children seriously. On occasion, children's television programming can be good, but for the most part, people treat kids like idiots.
Take Batman the Animated Series for example, it was deep, dark, and well made. While it never outright showed guns, it didn't treat it;s audience like idiots. Animaniacs and Friendship is Magic are other shows like this.
Compare it to the Spiderman Animated Series which aired around the same time. It was catered to treat kids like kids and had lasers and cheesey acting. It didn't take it's audience seriously and is just disrespectful.
