It's been officially confirmed by Hasbro that Twilight Sparkle is indeed becoming an alicorn.

Unlike most of the rest of the fandom, I'm actually looking forward to this! I'm not one of the people who's gonna shitstorm everywhere just because they're making assumptions on an episode they haven't seen yet.

Would Twilight becoming an alicorn change any of her character traits? NO.

Would Twilight forget about her friends? NO.

Would Twilight still have friends even if she forgot about her other ones? YES. PRINCESS CELESTIA AND PRINCESS LUNA. AND CADENCE. AND ARMOR.

Please, don't take this the wrong way. Even if you don't like it, please don't take it the wrong way. Be mature.

So many spoilers... I editted the title so that people don't see the spoiler if they don't like spoilers.

Well, it's too soon to make any sort of assumptions for mixed on Twilight becoming an alicorn.

I don't think it's going to affect the overall show greatly. She's now a princess and she has wings.

I think it's to show kids (remember, this show is more directed towards kids over the adults) to show advancement in one's life. You know, something like college after high school, full-time career after part-time job. Twilight's would just be princess (Master if I may) after student.

The other reason I think people hate this is because alicorns or alicorn OCs represent royalty, or better than the norm. Twilight is very advanced in magic and does have close relations to royalty. I don't see why her advancing to alicorn would change the overall show.

Being an Alicorn is supposed to be special, I already had a problem with Cadence but she grew on me. Being an Alicorn Princess will set Twlight apart. The group is balanced as it is, and now it won't be.

Remember that first episode? Everyone brings something to the table.

The show stands for friendship, equality and all that. Being an Alicorn puts her on a different level than her friends and that equality is broken. And even if its reversed, the fact that it still happened is still insulting.

I view things for their meanings. I believe most of you are aware of the meanings and creativity I get out of fiction. But I still think that fiction should be respected and that fans should be respected as well.

In the beginning, they were all equals. She couldn't have done jack squat without her friends. They've all done everything together.

They're a group, they've all gone through the same challenges and hardships and overcome them as a team. They're equals. Their friendship is based on such equality. If she deserves to be an alicorn, everyone does.

I also forgot to mention that just because she now has wings does NOT MAKE HER GOD STATUS.

If she DID have god status, her mane and tail would be flowy.

That means without god status, she CANNOT DO EVERYTHING BY HERSELF. She would most likely need her friends again.

Yes, everypony did bring something to the table. Elements of Harmony and what-not.

And if Twilight's element is Magic, wouldn't becoming an Alicorn IMPROVE upon that?

Yes, Alicorns ARE supposed to be special. Which is why Twilight is becoming one.

Also, the show DIDN'T SAY A THING ABOUT EQUALITY. If it did, it would Friendship and Equality are magic.

Becoming an Alicorn does NOT put her on a different level from her friends. She just has wings now. That's all.

And you know what? After this whole Alicorn thing dies down, I'm moving this topic to the Moderator Section.

Alicorns were never said to be special, we only assumed it.
Bronies thought it was the end of the world with cadence and shining armour. we now love them.
twilight won't abandon her friends, it was said that they would help her adjust to her new lifestyle.

equality was never a thing and also could mean her friends accepting that she has a new role now. it's like if you were friends with Barack Obama before he became president.

That would be a pretty damn big scandal and an example of government corruption.

Okay, here are my two predictions to the season finale:

1) Twilight's final test is to create her own magical spell (remember, she never used magic of her own making) and instead switches everyone's cutie marks on accident. She must find new magic in order to switch them back and receive her alicorn status


2) Princess Luna, Celestia, and Discord all use their magic to make Twilight Sparkle "reborn" as an alicorn. Meaning they alter the past to make Twilight born an alicorn over a unicorn; but Twilight will remember all her memories as a unicorn, but no one else will. She then discovers her friends in Ponyville's destinies have been altered (ie. Rarity not a dressmaker, Pinkie Pie not happy). She must use her new magic to create a spell to change back all that was done!

If one of these 2 are right, you all owe me!

Hasbro has done something so heinous, so unprecedented in the history of media/merchandise tie-ins that there is no possible way to recover! My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is RUINED FOREVER, and there’s no possible way they can fix this!

No one in any other fandom can possibly understand our pain!
