One of gaming's greatest mysteries might be uncovered. The New Mexico government may have located the burial grounds of the legendary E.T. For the Atari 2600.
E.T. is classified as the worst video game in history. In 1982, Atari wanted to make a game for Steven Spielberg's most recent movie at the time, "E.T. the Extra Terrestrial." They made a lot of hype about it and put the mass majority of their budget into just advertisements. It was to the point where they only had 3 WEEKS to make the game! The game sucked and it was the final nail in Atari's coffin. It is one of the reasons Atari went 3rd party gaming and the reason gaming almost died in 1983.
I can't wait to see if they do dig it up!
