Suggestion Thread

cool idea. (sorry for my absence I was on vacation)

I think we need the reorganize the Episode Discussion Subforum. Change the subfoum into an all-inclusive Episode Discussion subforum, inside that subforum we should have a another subforum for new episodes only. The episode discussion that are not new are kinda getting lost inside the pony general subforums.

This is the best suggestion yet! The Pony General section is getting flooded with the old episode crap, and it looks like a mess!

As of now, there is a sub-SUB-category forum called "Old Episode Archives." If episodes become outdated (Like 2-3 weeks old), they can just get moved there!

The Chatbox could probably be having loads of members by adding a description or atleast mp-ing the users.
You might need 3 or 4 users to help you to mp the users.
I don't think you can add a description to the Chatbox anyway.

I know this isn't really a suggestion for the forum website itself but I'll see what everyone thinks:

Someone could make a Nintenbrony Facebook page for things like game events and others things, you guys can decide?
Maybe use it to keep in contact with other members while their not on the fourm?
It might bring in more new members?

You know, I'm glad someone brought that up finally! I always thought of making a page for it! That and Twitter. We DO have a Rainbow Dash Network page; but it really got us nowhere fast. Once school gets done in April, I will look into that!

Anyways I hope making a Facebook/twitter page boosts the forum's member count in the long run.

It's like a mini version of Twitter that is brony-themed. I think of it as Equestria Daily's shadow.

The reason I never did Facebook and Twitter is because I have friends who have pages of their own; and they are always out there "whoring" themselves to other pages to get like +1,000 likes or become the group's admin. I always thought it would make me look like a complete sellout. To me, Nintenbrony Forums is an online community; not a popularity contest.

I can try, but I am going to be super old-fashioned and accept little-to-no affiliations out of the gate!

Well I completely understand Ninten.
I know you wouldn't want the forum to get out of hand if tons of people joined because someone wanted 1000 likes.
If you do decide to make a page go with whatever feels right it's your forum
If you didn't want to make a page there's always the option of making a group or both?
Either way you decide to go I'll still support the forum

I was wondering if anybody thinks there should be more usergroups just to add a little variety.
I don't know what type of usergroups anybody would want, what names to give them, and what colors?

Well, it does provide more Pony Emoticons. Hopefully, Ninten will consider this and add more from that website. As for the Usergroups, we will have to think about what they will be if we add more.

Alright that sounds reasonable to me xD. I didn't want to suggest names or other specific parts for the usergroups because I thought it would be best to leave those decisions in the hands of someone who has more experience with the forums like the admins or mods. But having the forum community join in on the decision would be good also.

Oh, it's not the out-of-hand thing I am afraid of. It's just a sense of power hunger. I have seen some great gaming celeb's communities go down the drain because of this stuff! This forum doesn't thrive because it's well-planned, it thrives because it learns from it's surroundings!

Actually, this was supposed to be a secret, but my biggest challenge was being offered web domain by someone. That's right, my own public website! We could put any legal content on there and installed a forum engine to do what this place does, but it's all mine! All it costs for me is $20 a year! I am seriously considering it.

I see what you mean Ninten. This forum does seem to be running pretty smooth as far as I've seen, and the community here is growing....slowly but it is growing

Huh...if you did have your our website would the look of the forum look similar/completely identical or much different? I know it might be hard to answer that question because you don't have the site. I mean if we could have a majority of the same features from here on a new site or more new features that sounds like a neat idea. But it's not my decision to make

Sure that sounds like an idea with the forum ranks having more post challenges like +500 posts more or less and we could have other different ranks but I'm not sure what everyone would like

I'm not digging the new theme Nin. It's a little vibrent and hard to look at. The banners fine, I like that, but the new bright green color scheme (unintended rhyming) is frankly not very good.

Yeah, the Nintenbrony logo is awesome but I'm not sure about the "green" colour. -_-

Yeah, this was the default color for the theme. I will look into colors later and find a new green that is either more web-colored or more darker.
